step by step recipe
- First, wash the eggplant with water and cut it into sticks or wedges as you prefer. Once cut, dry the pieces thoroughly with kitchen paper. Then, season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Next, preheat the air fryer for five minutes using the “Preheat” menu. While it reaches the desired temperature, place the two tablespoons of flour in a bowl and coat each stick, covering each piece with a thin layer.
- When the eggplant pieces are well-coated with flour, spray them with extra virgin olive oil and place them in your air fryer basket.
- Cook them in Manual mode at 190°C for 15 minutes. After the first ten minutes, shake the basket to ensure the eggplants are cooking evenly.
- Once they're ready, place the eggplants on a plate, drizzle with honey to taste, and enjoy!
Ingredients
- We can garnish the eggplants with some finely chopped parsley.
- We recommend cutting the eggplant sticks with a thin thickness, approximately 1 cm, to achieve a crispier result.
- If we have time, we can remove excess water from the eggplant by doing the following. After cutting it into sticks, place the eggplant with coarse salt and kitchen paper both below and above. Let it rest for 20 minutes and then dry it well, removing the salt and expelled water.
