step by step recipe
- We place the blades.
- Place the milk and butter in the jar.
- Put the lid on and set to 37°C, speed 1, for 3 minutes.
- Add the yeast through the steam outlet.
- Cover and set to speed 4 for 30 seconds.
- Then, open and add half of the flour, two eggs, sugar, orange zest, orange blossom aroma, and salt.
- Place the lid and program speed 5, 20 seconds.
- Open and add the rest of the flour.
- Cover and set to speed 5 for 20 seconds again.
- Next, proceed to knead by setting the automatic KNEAD menu, speed 3, for 3 minutes.
- Let the dough rest in the jar with the lid on for 1-2 hours, until we see that the dough has doubled in volume.
- Once it has risen, remove the dough from the jar and place it on a floured countertop. Deflate and knead a little. It should be an elastic dough that doesn't stick to your hands. If necessary, add a little flour while deflating.
- Divide the dough into two equal parts.
- Shape them into Monas by making two balls and place them on two pieces of parchment paper.
- Make a hole in the center of the Monas using your fingers and place the boiled eggs inside.
- Cover the Monas with a cloth and let them rise for 30 minutes.
- After that time, brush them with beaten egg and optionally decorate with colored sprinkles.
- Place one of the Monas in the air fryer basket and set to 160°C for 15 minutes. After that time, carefully turn it over and bake at the same temperature for 10 more minutes.
- Follow the same process to cook the other Easter Mona.
- Let them cool completely and enjoy!
