Products with which it can be cooked
Ingredients
- task_altPotatoes. The quantity will depend on how much you want to consume and especially on the size of the air fryer (our V20 model has capacity for two medium potatoes, while the V35 model for one large and the V55 for two large ones).
- task_altExtra virgin olive oil spray. Our recommendation is to coat the potatoes in oil using a sprayer. Why? Simple, to better distribute the oil and avoid excess. This will facilitate that typical crispy touch of traditional French fries.
- task_altSalt and pepper to taste.
step by step recipe
- First, we peel the potatoes and cut them into not very thick sticks, approximately one centimeter wide. It's important that we try to achieve the same thickness for all of them so they cook evenly.
- The next step is to preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes.
- We use this waiting time to soak the potatoes in cold water. After a few minutes, we drain and dry them well with a clean cloth or kitchen paper. This helps remove some of the starch released by the potato and prevent them from sticking together during cooking.
- When this process is finished and our air fryer is hot, it's time to put the potato sticks inside! We distribute them well in the basket and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- We cook in Fry menu at 195°C for 20 minutes. During this process, we keep moving them constantly so they cook well. From the halfway point, you can open the air fryer and add a dose of olive oil spray. We recommend taking advantage of this step to stir the potatoes again and thus ensure they brown evenly.
- The French fries should be removed when they are well cooked on all sides. Depending on the type of potato, size, and quantity, the cooking time may vary. Check them and when you see they're to your liking, it's time to enjoy!
Ingredients
- We can soak the cut potatoes for about 20/30 minutes to remove the cellulose they contain and make them crispier. Drain and dry well with paper towels before cooking.
- It's true that your oil-free air fryer french fries will be delicious seasoned with salt and pepper. However, some prefer them with spices: sweet paprika, oregano, dried rosemary, garlic powder, among others, combine perfectly with this recipe.
- As for cutting the potatoes in the air fryer, you can choose the one that suits you best. Whether in sticks, as we mentioned above, or potato chips, squared like patatas bravas, wedge-style, with or without skin. After all, what matters is that the sizes are uniform and you follow the capacities of our air fryers.
- You now have the perfect side dish for all your meals. Accompany your favorite meat or fish recipes with air fryer potatoes, or try eating them alone as a snack. You can pair them with sauces like the typical brava sauce, pink sauce, roquefort sauce... Find your ideal combination!
