step by step recipe
- Place the blades in the robot's jar.
- Make the base by placing the Maria cookies in the robot's jar. Program the robot at speed 5 for 20-30 seconds or until the cookies are well crumbled. Then add the melted butter and powdered dates and mix by programming the robot at speed 2 for 10 seconds. Pour the mixture into a pie mold and press on the bottom to create the crust. Set aside and clean the robot's jar.
- Preheat the oven to 175°C.
- To make the filling, place the pitted dates in the robot's jar with the blades in place and add half a cup of yogurt to the dates. Blend the dates for about 3 minutes, stopping every 15-30 seconds to clean the sides of the jar or until the dates are well incorporated into the yogurt. Add the rest of the yogurt, eggs, vanilla, cornstarch, lemon juice, and salt and mix by programming the robot at speed 2 for 20 seconds. Pour the filling into the prepared crust. Bake for 25 minutes or until the filling is set but not browned.
- Serve with your favorite fresh fruit.
Ingredients
- Tips: If we pit the dates by hand, be careful to ensure that the dates are completely pitted, as they may have more than 1 pit in each date. Mixing them with pits can damage the robot.
- We can substitute powdered dates with fresh dates for the base by sprinkling them before adding the cookies and butter. We may need less butter.
