Chicken is one of the most common culinary preparations worldwide. We’ve seen it cooked in multiple types of dishes. Its meat contains a large amount of protein, making it an interesting option to incorporate into our diet. Today we bring you a very tasty and easy-to-make recipe: beer chicken in a programmable pot. It’s a dish with a lot of personality where the main ingredient for making the sauce is beer instead of water or chicken broth. It’s impossible to resist its flavor!
In this recipe, we’ll use a GenericProductName programmable cooker, very easy to use thanks to its 10 preconfigured menus. Are you ready to know the ingredients and steps to prepare this delicacy? Let’s begin!
Products with which it can be cooked
Ingredients
- task_alt12 chicken thighs or drumsticks. They can be skin-on and bone-in.
- task_alt800 grams of potatoes.
- task_altTwo cloves of garlic.
- task_alt100 milliliters of extra virgin olive oil.
- task_altOne liter of your favorite beer (it doesn't matter if it's lager, amber, or dark).
- task_altSalt and black pepper.
- task_alt1 carrot
- task_altOne chicken stock cube.
step by step recipe
- Season. The first thing to do is to add pepper and salt to the chicken to taste.
- Set the fry menu. Next, turn on the cooker, select the fry menu, and cover the base of the pot with extra virgin olive oil.
- Add the garlic and chicken. While we wait a few minutes, peel and slice the garlic cloves. When the oil is hot, put the garlic cloves and chicken in the pot.
- Prepare the sauté. Next, sauté the chicken and garlic for ten minutes. Pay special attention to this step! For the recipe to be perfect, the chicken sauté must be well done. Once done, we can continue with the steps.
- Cut the potatoes. While the chicken is sautéing, cut the potatoes into small squares as if they were for a potato omelet.
- Cover and set the STEW menu, temperature 1, for 30 minutes.
- Start the stew mode. After five minutes have passed, check and cancel the fry menu, add a chicken stock cube, and then cover. It's time to cook on the stew menu for about 15 minutes with the valve closed.
- Release the pressure. When the 15 minutes of stewing are over, carefully release the pressure from the pot (placing a cloth on top to avoid burns).
- It's time for the potatoes. Add them to the pot with the rest of the ingredients and set the stew menu again, this time without the lid, to reduce the broth and cook the potatoes (about 15 more minutes).
- After this time, we just need to check that everything is to our liking, plate it, and the beer chicken in the pot is ready to enjoy!
